At Tango Infinito, we believe tango is much more than a dance. It’s a living expression that transcends generations, borders, and eras. But it also transcends linear time—we experience it as a spiral. We return again and again to familiar places, familiar movements, but never from the same place within ourselves. Because we are never the same.

Studying tango, for us, means going deeper. It’s revisiting the figure of the ocho and discovering something new each time. It’s exploring different styles—milonguero, viejo, nuevo, salón—not as opposing worlds but as interconnected expressions. Each time we return to them, they reveal something different, more refined, more mature, more honest.

We see tango not just as something that happens on the dance floor—it lives in our everyday lives, in our emotions, in the profound connection we establish with ourselves and others. It’s a dance that’s kind to the body, that supports emotional and physical well-being, and that nurtures healthy, conscious, and respectful relationships.

Our approach is deeply rooted in tradition but always in conversation with the present. We honor the past, and we love playing with its textures and stories, but we don’t remain stuck in outdated stereotypes. We believe in a tango that is updated, alive, and ever-evolving.

And we also believe that in order to truly recognize the essence of tango, we must sometimes reach—and even cross—its boundaries. By stepping outside of what is traditionally considered tango, we gain a clearer view of what defines it. Moving beyond doesn’t diminish it—it enriches it. Exploring other movements, other languages, other sensitivities allows us to return to tango with a renewed, more authentic perspective.

Gero and Romi come from very different tango journeys, but what unites us is the depth with which this art form has touched us since our teenage years—or even earlier. There are things that simply cannot be explained with words alone. Tango is a living culture born from the Río de la Plata, a feeling, a passion that lives in both the everyday and the eternal.

Tango Infinito is our way of sharing that which cannot be said, but can be felt. It’s a tribute to the past, a celebration of the present, and an invitation to move, to connect, and to express from the most sincere place.
